- Why I specialize in trauma
- I chose to specialize in trauma because of my own life experiences and the experiences of people I love. They gave me a deep appreciation for how profoundly trauma can affect a person's life, but they also showed me that healing is possible. I became a trauma therapist because I want to walk alongside people as they process what they've been through, helping them move beyond survival so they can once again experience the world as a place that feels safe, meaningful, and full of possibility. Because trauma often occurs alongside other mental health conditions, I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach that addresses your unique needs and supports your overall well-being.
- How I create a safe, supportive environment
- When you begin working with me, you can expect a compassionate, collaborative, and authentic relationship where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. I build a safe space by earning your trust and moving at a pace that feels right for you. I'll be transparent throughout the process, and I'll use empathy and humor to help you feel comfortable enough to do the work of healing. I don't just guide people through trauma, I stay alongside them, celebrating progress and helping navigate setbacks with encouragement and hope.
- What I want to help members see in themselves
- I recognize that no two people or traumatic experiences are the same, so I tailor treatment to your unique history, strengths, culture, goals, and stage of healing. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches while staying flexible, meeting you where you are and adjusting the pace along the way. Above all, I want you to see the resilience in yourself that I already see in you.
- My message to you if you are struggling right now
- You're not alone, and what you're feeling makes sense in the context of what you've been through. Healing isn't about forgetting what happened. It's about learning that your past doesn't have to define your future. With the right support, you can find hope, strength, and a sense of safety again.
